Who we are

CozyTrack ("we," "us") is an app that helps you track how long it's been since you did something and how long you spend on activities, and to share trackers gently with friends. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. If you have questions, contact us at ezenwannec1@gmail.com.

Information we collect — only what's needed to provide the app

• Account information: your email address, and (if you choose) the fact that you signed in with Google or Apple. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form; we never see your plain-text password.
• Profile: a display name you choose, shown to friends you connect with.
• Your content: the trackers and activities you create (names, emojis, colors), the times you log them, and any notes or messages you send to a friend ("nudges").
• Social connections: friend connections, invite codes you generate or redeem, trackers you choose to share, and any block or report actions you take.
• Basic technical data: standard logs (such as IP address and request times) kept by our hosting provider to operate and secure the service.

We do NOT collect your contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers for tracking, and we do NOT include advertising or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and sign you in.
• To store and display your trackers, logs, and insights.
• To power the social features — connecting friends, sharing trackers you choose to share, and delivering nudges.
• To keep the service safe (for example, rate-limiting nudges and acting on blocks and reports).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

What friends can see

CozyTrack is private by default. Others see your information only when you choose to share. Your display name is visible to friends you connect with. A tracker is visible to a friend only when you share it, and you can stop sharing at any time. Nudges are visible to the friend you send them to. You can block a friend to stop all contact, or report content to us.

Service providers

(process data only to provide their service to us): Supabase (hosted via Lovable Cloud) for our database and authentication; Google and Apple only if you choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple," to verify your identity.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account & data). Deletion is permanent and removes your trackers, logs, activities, friend connections, invites, and nudges, along with your account. Some routine backups or security logs held by our hosting provider may persist for a short period before being overwritten.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can delete your data directly in the app, or contact us at ezenwannec1@gmail.com for help with access or export.

Children

CozyTrack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and per-user access rules so people can only reach their own data and the limited information others have chosen to share with them. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
